The Jeffrey Arnold Foundation for the Vocal Arts
$2800 - The tuition cost is all inclusive - weekly private lessons, repertory coaching, acting for singers, individual practice, rehearsals, public performances (art song recital, choral concert, opera), visiting artist master classes and round table discussions, lodging (bed and breakfast w/host families) and meals (stipend).
Tuition may be paid in full upon acceptance into the program, or in four $700 installments (February, March, April, May). Tuition must received in full by June 1, 2018. TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE EITHER IN WHOLE OR IN PART. This policy stands without exception.
There are no full or partial tuition scholarships available at this time. NOTE: If accepted into the program, alumni of the VAR automatically receive a 10% discount on their tuition. We encourage all of our participants to take fiscal responsibility for their career development and explore creative avenues of fundraising and self-promotion.
Students are responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the Vocal Arts Retreat.
AUDITIONS (Please read and follow the instructions carefully!)
Applicants should electronically submit the following items on or before February 15, 2018:
1. A resume outlining your experience to date. (NOTE: Do not worry if your resume seems a bit "sparse." That is the reason you are applying to this program - to gain experience!)
2. A recent headshot.
3. A video recording of the following audition repertory: One opera or oratorio aria sung in the original language; one art song sung in its original language. ALL SELECTIONS MUST BE SUNG FROM MEMORY. However, the oratorio selection may be sung with music. Video clips from "live" concert performances are permissible, provided they sufficiently meet the audition repertory requirement.

NOTE: INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS OR LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
